The Inverness Golf Club near Centennial will play host to an assortment of injured, wounded or ill veterans for a three-day camp and tournament beginning July 25.

Members of Team Semper Fi and Team Americas Fund — both programs within the non-profit Semper Fi Fund that seeks to assist former servicemen and women and their families — will learn a variety of golfing skills from professionals before using those techniques in an 18-hole tournament on July 27.

The teams are part of the fund’s commitment to help recovering veterans through sports and other activities.

“Golf is a game that when approached in the correct manner, can prove to be an extremely beneficial tool in the recovery process of injured service members,” said Casey Fisher, senior manager at Semper Fi Fund. “The degree of difficulty of this game requires a lot of focus, determination, and ability to adapt.”
