Miramar, CA – The Marine Corps Aviation Association’s (MCAA) Marion Carl Squadron recently hosted two unbelievable days of fundraising to help raise money and awareness for the Semper Fi Fund!
Starting at the Miramar Officers’ Club, Medal of Honor recipient Robert Modrzejewski, Colonel, USMC (Ret) helped in presenting two Action Trackchairs (www.actiontrackchair.com) to two injured Marines, Cpl. Jose Armenta and Cpl. Jon Schumacher.
With these amazing devices, Jose & Jon will be able to go camping and head to the beach with their families for the first time since their injuries. And because of the utmost generosity of two anonymous donors, and the money raised by the night’s attendees through their donations and auction, three more Action Trackchairs were given to the Semper Fi Fund!
And the giving didn’t stop there!
The next day the MCAA Marion Carl Squadron hosted the 4th Annual 1000 Springs Ranch Golf Scramble at the MCAS Miramar Memorial Golf Course for a two-day fundraising total of $115,000!
Thank you to all of the attendees and supporters, and of course the amazing sponsors including 1000 Springs Ranch, TSR, FLIR, Land Rover San Diego, Porsche of San Diego, and Audi San Diego! You have helped change the lives of some of our heroes!
