Great Falls, VA –The United States Naval Academy Class of 1971, 11th Company will be hosting a night of remembrance and camaraderie at The Tavern in Great Falls, Virginia. The night is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11th and to support America’s heroes who have sacrificed so much in the name of freedom.
During the evening, guest will be provided service from “guest” bartenders Gen Al Gray, the 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen John Sattler, former Commanding General of 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, and Bill Hoover, President and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. All tips for the evening and 10% of all drinks sales from The Tavern for the evening will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund.
The Class of 1971, 11th Company will celebrate their 40th anniversary of graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in October 2011. For the past year the 11th Company committed to raising $71,000 for the benefit of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund through fundraising and personal donations.
