FAU Women’s Softball Team and Marines faceoff in Charity Softball Game

Boca Raton, FL – In April, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Women’s Softball Team will battle local Marines in a charity fast-pitch softball game. The teams will be battling it out on the diamond for a good cause. The event will raise support and awareness for the Semper Fi Fund’s injured service members and their families.

Special guest players on the Marine Team will be Wes Kain and “Handsome” Dan from the Vanilla Ice Project. Wes and Dan are known for their support of service members and the Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots drive.

Everyone is welcome! The game takes place on April 15, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the FAU Campus Softball Field in Boca Raton, FL. Tickets will be sold at the gate. The entry fee is $5.00 per person with a discounted rate of $4.00 per ticket for FAU Students. Proceeds and donations from the game will benefit the Semper Fi Fund.
