Centreville, VA - G.I. Dash UNDEAD is a Zombie Obstacle Event brought to you from "Green Lion Events LLC". The G.I. Dash has traded in its cheery attitude, up-beat music and fun atmosphere for an evil, infestation and survival first mentality. With donations going to benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, this race is not only about having fun while trying to run for survival through the course, it’s also about giving back to a great charity!

Runners armed with a limited number of water balloons will need to defend their 3 flags from our UNDEAD. This Undead Zombie themed event brings you zombies, blood splatter, barbwire crawls, wall climbs and much more! All athletic types are encouraged to come, from the hardcore 10+ mile runners, to the casual competitors. This event is based around great sportsmanship and personally challenging yourself!

At a luncheon to honor outstanding military spouses from all service branches, Marine wife Karen Guenther was introduced by Bonnie Amos, the first lady of the Marine Corps.

Honolulu Marathon 2013

Honolulu, Hawaii - The Honolulu Marathon starts on Ala Moana Boulevard, which in Hawaiian means "path by the ocean." This phrase is an appropriate description for the entire race course. An expo will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center from Wednesday December 4th through Saturday December 7th. Race week activities include Concert/luau on Friday December 4th and a race day concert at Queen Kapiolani Bandstand on December 8th.

Honolulu Century Ride 2013

Honolulu Century Ride 2013Honolulu, Hawaii - Aloha! Come join us on the Honolulu Century Ride, Hawaii's largest cycling event. The Honolulu Century Ride annually attracts thousands of riders from around the world. The ride is fully supported with the support of our local bike shops and Honolulu police officers. Aid stations serve locally grown bananas, oranges, and a refreshing sport drink. After riding, relax at Kapiolani Park enjoying Hula and eat ono (yummy) food served by community groups.

Palm Desert, CA - Fabulous & gifted artist Grant McMillan would like to donate proceeds from the sales of his art work to the SFF. His art work will be on display at the City of Palm Desert's Art Gallery from September 12 to November 15, 2013, and there will be an opening night September 16, 2013. Price for each photo is $1294.35 and there will be 10 to 15 pieces up for sale. Please support Grant in his efforts to help our injured and their families. His art work is amazing and very inspirational!

16th Annual Semper Fi Golf Classic

sff_golf_classic_2013_langdon_farmsAurora, OR - The Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Oregon and Washington proudly presents the 16th Annual Semper Fi Golf Classic to benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

The tournament is open to all, especially Marines, Corpsmen, Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, National Guard, Coast Guard and any other Friends of Marines, but is limited to the first 144 players to register. Proceeds from this event will go to Marine Corps-related charities, to include a major portion to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

The format will be the same as in the previous 15 years: a four-person scramble with team handicaps, and we will play rain or shine.

The fee of $150.00 for a single golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, practice
facilities, a welcome package, a buffet dinner, and prizes. There will also be a great raffle, auction, putting contest, and a special prize for a hole in one. So come and enjoy an excellent afternoon of golf followed by camaraderie, and help improve the quality of life of our wounded Marines and Corpsmen.

Newk’s Eatery Grand Opening in Greensboro, North Carolina

Newk’s Eatery is opening its newest restaurant. All the proceeds from their Grand Opening on Saturday, September 7, 2013, will benefit America’s Fund. This is the franchise group’s first Grand Opening of many and they look forward creating long term partnerships with their communities and supporting local wounded service members and their families.

Military adults and dependents age 13-64 pay only $5 at gate (almost a 40% discount) by showing military or veteran ID at the ticket window. Offer is not available online or in advance. Discount is available for all military personnel, including active duty, reserve, National Guard, retired, and veterans.
