Phoenix Half Marathon, Phoenix, AZ – Robert has been a longtime supporter of the Fund, raising funds and awareness for multiple years. He plans to continue to do so for the upcoming 2013 season! Double Iron Triathlon, Tampa, FL – Bill has been a consistent participant in the hardcore races. He takes on the multiple aspects of physicality in races such as the Ironmans! This year he is planning on competing in the Lavaman Waikaloa in April, the Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas in May, the Ironman 70.3 Hawaii in June, Ford Ironman Coeur d'Alene also in June, Lavaman Keauhou in August, and the IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in October! He does these races with the mindset to help our mission of serving those who preserve our freedom.

New Orleans RockNRoll Marathon, New Orleans, LA – Throughout previous years, MGySgt White has been a massive supporter of the Semper Fi Fund and been a great representative. He has fundraised along with spread the mission of our need to support our injured service members. He is taking on the New Orleans RockNRoll Marathon in February and could use your help to continue his mission to fundraise for the fund.
Race on the Base, Los Alamitos Base, CA – Mac Alaniz is running in honor of those who serve and have served, like his brother and our other brothers…Mac is running for you! During the previous months he has raised funds during his "Running for a Cause" campaign in which he will continue as he participates in the Race on the Base in February and the Toco Loco Challenge in April. He plans to run with a mask and run to raise awareness. This is Mac's way to "Support through Sport" our injured and critically ill service members and their families.
When asked why he chooses to run for the Fund, he said, "I do this for the heroic men and valiant woman of our Armed Services...The burden of the weight and struggle of breathing motivates me and reminds me of the struggles of the road to healing that these warriors will endure and the burden of what these warriors endure as they stand fast on the front line."

Last August, Navy Petty Officer Taylor Morris was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" in a ceremony at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his exceptionally valorous conduct on May 3, 2012 while serving with the Special Operations Task Force at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, where he sustained catastrophic injuries to all four limbs. After receiving the medal, Morris said, "I just want to say one thing if I could: If I had hands, I'd take this off and pin it on Danielle, because she's helped me through everything, and it's been so hard. This event put on by representatives of the MCLB Albany Officers' Spouses Club & Enlisted Spouses' Club is a 2-hour Zumba class – the high intensity, calorie-burning, dance-inspired fitness class that moves to exciting Latin and hip-hop music.
