In commemoration of the 10 year anniversary of the Iraq invasion, CBS news correspondent David Martin revisited the story of Sergeant Eddie Wright, one of the first Marines helped by the Semper Fi Fund. Eddie, a double amputee, opens up to David about the new battles he is fighting at home, and the challenges he faces both emotionally and physically on a daily basis. The Semper Fi Fund was there when Eddie was first injured in 2004 and continues to support him and his family today in a number of different ways, including counseling that saved his marriage. On April 07, 2004, Sergeant Eddie Wright was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade during an ambush in Fallujah, Iraq. The citation for Eddie's Bronze Star, with Valor Device, reads:

9th Annual Poker Run Hot Rod & Motorcycle Rally

Temecula, CA – The Brotherhood of Marine Riders invite everyone to join in their continued support of the Semper Fi Fund by attending their 9th Annual Poker Run on May 18, 2013.The event has expanded to include a Hot Rod Show and Biker Games, along with a change in venue to accommodate a larger crowd.

All Bikes & Hot Rods are welcome. Fee is $20 single/$10 each passenger. Your charitable contribution will cover the Poker Run entry, BBQ lunch, and live entertainment.

Poker Run registration will take place from 9:00 – 11:00 am at The Chopper Gallery, 28860 Old Town Front Street, Suite B6 in Temecula (just north of Quiad H-D). Rally gates open at 11:00 a.m. at Wild West Arena, 32150 Grand Ave, Winchester, CA 92596.

This year's poker run will include tons of prizes and a good time. Cash prizes awarded to entries in best Bike & Hot Rod contests. A custom Harley Davidson raffle will be drawn at the rally (minimum of 750 tickets must be sold).
