Life’s Been Good To Us (So Far)

The headline is an obvious paraphrase of one of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joe Walsh’s most famous lyrics – and, it’s a great response to this amazing effort!

In case you haven’t heard, Joe and some of his A-list friends – including the Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr. and Keith Urban – will be performing at VetsAid on Sept. 20 in Fairfax, Virginia (find out how to get tickets over on Ticketmaster). One of the veteran charities chosen to benefit from the concert? You guessed it: the Semper Fi Fund.

The legendary member of the Eagles and beloved rock icon in his own right is a strong supporter of veteran organizations. His father was killed while on active duty in Japan when Joe was only 20 months old.

“The first round of charities selected adheres to the highest standards in fiscal transparency and governance, delivering high-quality programs that positively impact the lives of the families they serve,” National Association of Veteran-Serving Organizations (which is assisting in the VetsAidselection process) CEO Chris Ford told CBS Radio.

We’re thrilled to be a beneficiary of this tremendous event – thanks, Joe! And thanks to all the performers, to NAVSO and to everyone who will be attending and supporting VetsAid. This effort will bring HOPE and support to those we serve- our military from all service branches and their families!
