Vice President, Case Management – Eastern Region
Susan has held a position in Case Management for the Semper Fi Fund since January 2006. She attained the title of Vice President in 2014. Susan oversees a team of Case Volunteers, Case Managers, Veteran Leads and others who assist families of our wounded with compassion and promptness. She is responsible for the review and approval of grants given out to injured and seriously ill service members and their families. Under Susan’s leadership, Semper Fi Fund case managers have assisted more than 14,400 service members needing assistance. She also provides outreach to the military and VA hospitals, liaisons with military senior leadership, develops new programming and works for the overall mission of Semper Fi Fund.
For the past thirty years Susan has consistently been involved in Marine Corps family readiness programs. She has accumulated extensive experience working with volunteers in such programs as the Family Readiness Program, Key Volunteer Network, the Leadership Education Seminar, and the Commanders Course/Spouses Workshop. Specifically, she has served as the Facilitator trainer and Overall Coordinator for both the Leadership Education Seminar and the Commanders’ Course/Spouses’ Workshop. She has always had a passion for supporting military families.
Susan was raised and educated in Staten Island, New York. She graduated from St John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and worked in the accounting field prior to joining Semper Fi Fund. Susan is married to an Active Duty Marine.
