Husband and Wife Team – Jeremy & Handan Radosh

In 2011 when Jeremy and Handan Radosh joined the “Red Felt Running Club” Facebook group while training for their first Marine Corps Marathon, a Marine in the group, Bob “Iceman” Coolidge, introduced them to the Semper Fi Fund (SFF). The husband and wife team have been fundraising for the SFF ever since, raising more than $23,000 over the years!

Jeremy recently shared that his most satisfying experience was running the Boston Marathon in 2016 as a special invitee of the 415 Strong group. “That experience, and the wonderful people I met, really opened my eyes to the impact that the SFF has—not only on the lives of wounded veterans but on society as a whole. One of the proudest moments of my life was when one of the SFF team athletes handed me a “chip” as thanks for my fundraising. Imagine that… a MARINE thanking me!”

As part of the SFF Team, Jeremy and Handan said, “We have learned that the generosity of people and desire to help others is vast. That applies not only to the people who have donated to fundraisers, but to the people who support the SFF Team, and the athletes’ support for each other.”

When asked if they have any training tips to share, Jeremy answered, “The best advice I have is something another SFF fundraiser taught me back when I was training for my first marathon. That is… ‘learn the difference between pain and injury. You can run through pain but don’t run through an injury.’ I’ve spent the past 7 years learning how to tell the difference and to listen to my body for signs that it’s time to step things back.”
