Spur Making Clinic
This is a combined JMHP/Semper Fi Fund Apprenticeship Program clinic that will teach eight JMHP/SFF Apprenticeship Program members spur making, leather working, and silver engraving skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make your own spurs, buckles, and spur straps under the tutelage of top Texas spur makers and leather smiths in the small community of Centerville, TX. That’s right, you’ll learn metal shaping, forging, silver engraving, welding, leather smithing, and other vocational skills, and at the end of the week have a set of custom spurs that will last you a lifetime of riding. Best of all, you’ll learn the metal and leather-working skills necessary to make spurs on your own so you’ll have the know-how to make or show others how to make spurs and spur straps.
Open to: this clinic is by “invite only” to those members pursuing blacksmithing as a trade.
