Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a nonprofit charity, supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs that provide direct service to ill, injured, or wounded veterans. In an effort to make a positive difference in the lives of ill, injured, and wounded veterans and their families, the DAV Charitable Service Trust has partnered with the Semper Fi Fund. We are deeply grateful to the DAV for supporting the Semper Fi Fund’s mission through a grant for our Apprenticeship Program. Together, we are helping ill, injured, and wounded veterans find meaningful trades, careers, or small business opportunities through short-term vocational education and apprenticeships with trade experts, while developing the skills and confidence that are crucial to recovery and reintegration into their communities.

The Semper Fi Fund Apprenticeship Program (SFFAP) assists post-9/11 service members with a 70% or greater disability rating, especially those with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.  The Semper Fi Fund staff works directly with motivated service members to identify their career interests, establish training and education goals, create business plans, and pursue training and/or apprenticeships. The SFFAP also provides service members with the support needed to establish their own businesses and/or find employment in their chosen fields. Learn more about Apprenticeship HERE.
