Semper Fi Fund announces the “Day of Inspiration” contest in conjunction with the major motion picture release of “Dolphin Tale”
Brooklyn, NY – The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) will be sending 36 team members from Team Semper Fi, to take part in the “Tunnel to Towers” race in Brooklyn. This is the third year the team has participated in the race.

More than 30 injured service members will attend special screening of “Dolphin Tale” in New York City to benefit the Semper Fi Fund!
New York, NY – In conjunction with the upcoming release of Alcon Entertainment’s “Dolphin Tale,” the makers of the film are hosting a special screening for the Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the AMC Loews Theatres,19th Street East 6, New York City, NY.
Approximately 200 supporters of the Semper Fi fund will be in attendance, to include more than 30 injured service members from the Semper Fi Fund's "Team Semper Fi" who will be in town for this weekend's “Tunnel to Towers” race in Brooklyn.

Pasadena, CA – If the sound of roaring engines and the smell of gasoline gets your heart racing, then Sunday’s Marines Cruise Day Car Show is the place to be.
In-House Entertainment and The Council Car Club is hosting the first-ever U.S. Marines Car Show on Sunday, September 18. The event, which benefits the Semper Fi Fund, runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with roll-in time before the event from 6:00 – 9:00 AM.
The Cruise Day Car Show isn’t only for car lovers, but is also a family event with something for everyone including food booths, vendors, music, and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be a special raffle for a 1964 Chevy Impala. Read the rest of this entry »
Point Mugu, CA – They ride to remember. More than 1,500 riders will take part in the 2011 Ride to the Flag event on September 11th. The ride commemorates September 11th and those who lost their lives in the attacks.
Ride to the Flags will begin at the Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu and end at the Pepperdine University. Registration opens at 10:00 AM at Los Posas Road, South of the base entrance where riders receive wristbands to enter the Naval Base for a Celebration of Freedom. Boise, ID – It has been seven months since Boise native Marine Sgt Thomas Linville was injured in Afghanistan. On Thursday, August 25, the Boise community will be welcoming him home for the first time with a party to show their thanks for his service to our country. Since his injury Sgt Linville has been recovering in San Diego, California. The homecoming will take place at The Lift Bar and Grill in Boise. During the festivities, family members and friends will be hosting a fundraiser to raise support for all those who serve with proceeds being donated to the Semper Fi Fund. Whidbey Island, WA — On Saturday, August 13 runners will be participating in the 5th Annual Major McClung Memorial Run. The race is dedicated in memory of Marine Major Megan McClung, the first female Marine Corps officer killed in combat during the Iraq War.
Major McClung was serving as a public affairs officer in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, when she was killed by an improvised explosive device. The blast destroyed her Humvee and killed two other occupants in the vehicle. Read the rest of this entry »
Hobart, WI — On Saturday, August 13 runners will be taking on the Jerabek Challenge in honor Marine Private First Class Ryan Jerabek who died in combat in Iraq in 2004. Proceeds from the run will be given to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

Long Beach, CA On Sunday August 14, Semper Fi Fund supporter Mike Green is hosting one of Long Beach's favorite car events, the 4th Annual Wounded Warrior Car Show. This annual car show benefits the Semper Fi Fund.
Car clubs from around the state will motor to the Wyotech Campus in Long Beach to show off their Pre-1974 American cars and trucks as well as their tremendous support for our wounded. The team is made up of injured U.S. military Veterans and Active Duty athletes that will be coming from across America to participate in the event. Beltsville, MD — As a triple amputee, Marine Corporal (Cpl) Todd Love was not sure he would be able to drive again but now he is one step closer to overcoming that obstacle. This past week Cpl Love and his family were presented with a specially adapted vehicle by the Semper Fi Fund with coordination by Help for Our Heroes (HOMH).
