The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation Steps Up with More $ to Match

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Dec. 9, 2013) –The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation is raising the stakes in order to help even more injured or critically ill military service personnel by doubling the matching fund limit from $1 million, up to $2 million to the Semper Fi Fund. This means donations through December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to another million. Cross-Country Runner Completes 1,575 Mile Run For Injured Service Members

Tom Knoll, 79, runs to raise awareness for the Semper Fi Fund!

International Falls, MN – Tom Knoll, original Ironman and 79-year-old retired Marine, has started his 3rd and final cross-country charity run, which is set to be completed Thursday, July 12, 2012. In June, Tom began his run in New Orleans, Louisiana and followed the Mississippi river through Memphis, St. Louis, and Minneapolis. His final destination is International Falls, Minnesota, which lies along the U.S./Canada border. His total running mileage will be over 1,575 miles.

Tom has expressed that his adventure is not a race, as he will be talking to communities along his route about the Semper Fi Fund: a nonprofit whose mission is to raise funds and awareness for critically ill and injured service members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Throughout his trek, Tom intended to speak at local VFW's, Marine Corps Leagues, Rotary Clubs, and visit local military bases and events. Read the rest of this entry »

71-year-old Former Marine Completes 3,000 Miles on an ElliptiGO for Wounded Veterans

San Diego, CA – Seventy-one-year-old running enthusiast and former active duty Marine, Rick Hermelin, is honoring our nation's wounded veterans by riding 3,000 miles on an outdoor cross-trainer machine called an ElliptiGO to raise awareness and funds for injured service members. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif., April 13, 2012 – The Semper Fi Fund has been named the recipient of a $30,000 grant from Wells Fargo as part of the bank’s 160th Anniversary. The donation will support the nonprofit’s mission to assist injured and critically ill service members and their families. Press Release: Wounded Warriors to Participate in Cutting Horse Classic III

Nokesville, Va. - The Semper Fi Fund is pleased to announce the Wounded Warrior Cutting Horse Classic III April 10-14, 2012.

As part of the Semper Fi Fund's Jinx McCain Horsemanship Program, ten select wounded, ill or injured Marines from the Marine Corps' Wounded Warrior Regiment will participate in the event at the D & M Cattle Company in Nokesville, Virginia. The Jinx McCain Horsemanship Program is a facet of the Semper Fi Fund's Team Semper Fi, which is a rehabilitative sports program made up of more than 300 injured service members who compete in athletic events across the country.

Team Semper Fi to take part in 23rd Annual Blossom Bike Ride

Reedley, CA – The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund will be sending 18 team members from Team Semper Fi to take part in this weekend’s Reedley Lions Club’s 23rd Annual Kings River Blossom Bike Ride.
