Another Million Reasons to Love The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation!

Wow. No, really—that’s it in a nutshell: Wow.

Because The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation has doubled down on their commitment to the Semper Fi Fund: The $1 million matching campaign announced last month has just become a $2 million matching campaign. (Read the official press release.)

The charity drive in partnership with GoDaddy had set a goal of $1 million by December 31. That matching funds goal was met almost one month ahead of schedule, so GoDaddy Founder and Executive Chairman Bob Parsons raised the stakes—meaning that donations through December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $2 million.

Now, more donors than ever can double their support for our wounded and critically ill heroes by visiting the Semper Fi Fund’s dedicated donation page and following the donation instructions.

But wait—there’s more: GoDaddy customers who purchase products through through December 31 can elect to “Round Up for Charity” during checkout, selecting the Semper Fi Fund as the beneficiary. “Round Up for Charity” allows GoDaddy customers to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, effectively donating their spare change.

By doubling the value of the matching campaign, The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation’s total contribution to the Semper Fi Fund has reached $3.8 million.

“Bob is an amazing example of the Marine Corps motto—Semper Fi, always faithful,” Karen said after she regained her ability to speak. “As a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and a recipient of the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and Purple Heart Medal, Bob understands how important our work is, and how important it is for all of us to give back to those who’ve given so much to us all.

“Bob and Renee’s announcement was the best holiday present we could have received,” said Semper Fi Fund CEO Karen Guenther. “Their selfless love for others exemplifies the meaning of holiday spirit—and Bob makes a pretty good Santa Claus!”
