Marine’s “Ride Across America” Finale

May 27th, 2011

Bethany Beach, Ocean View, MD – United States Naval Academy alumni, Major Bill Conner (USMC) is cycling across America to raise funds for the Semper Fi Fund to support his fellow service members who have been injured. His epic ride, “Semper Fi Fund Ride Across America,” will come to its finale on Friday May 27, 2011 when Maj. Conner bikes from Annapolis, MD to Ocean View, DE.

Maj. Conner, also known as “Wild Bill,” has covered over 3,000 miles and 9 states and along the way he has been sharing with our nation the ongoing needs of our wounded. Wild Bill battled long days, bad weather and fatigue but to him it does not compare to the sacrifice of those he has served with in Afghanistan.

Maj. Conner returned from a tour in Afghanistan in March and within a month has set off on a six-week journey across our nation to raise support for the Semper Fi Fund. He felt it was important to raise funds and awareness for those who have served and sacrificed so much for our country.

Maj. Conner’s amazing ride will cumulate on Friday, May 27 at 6:00 PM at Bethany Beach in Ocean View, Delaware.
