Festival of Trees: Supporting our Service Members this Holiday Season

December 22nd, 2012

Inspired by the season of hope and giving, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and Haim Salon presented Semper Fi Fund service member, Petty Officer Bryan Fazio, with a beautiful decorated tree to say thank you for his brave service to our country. As a cancer survivor, Bryan is an amazing inspiration and symbol of hope to his fellow injured and ill service members. He is very grateful to the Semper Fi Fund for assisting him and his family during the difficult stages of his fight against cancer. The Semper Fi Fund is equally thankful for Bryan's sacrifices, and his amazing story brings us hope this holiday season.

In 2010, U.S. Navy Petty Officer Bryan Fazio was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Since then, he has been in a fight for his life with stage four cancer. Today, Bryan is no longer hospitalized. He wears a smile, despite the challenges he still faces on a daily basis. Read Bryan's story to share in his miraculous success and learn how he got to the place he is at today.

This year, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is continuing the wonderful tradition of the "Festival of Trees" in their efforts to support other local military families of North County, San Diego. Ten professionally designed trees will be featured in the hotel lobby during a month-long silent auction from November 28 – December 28. Hotel guests and local visitors place bids on their favorite tree in hopes of having the winning bid to take home the tree for the holidays. 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the the Semper Fi Fund and our incredible service members like Bryan.
