Service Members Reunite with New Friends in Boston

April 26th, 2013

A group of injured service members from Team Semper Fi returned to Boston this weekend to revisit with the patients injured in the Boston Marathon bombing. Service member Gabe Martinez reunited with his new friends, Celeste and Sydney, and their special friendship is just one of the many reasons the Semper Fi Fund was inspired to create the America's Fund Mentors program: A new program through which our veterans will mentor those who were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing and accompany them through their rehabilitation, providing hope and encouraging success along the way to recovery.

In the wake of the tragedy in Boston, phone calls, texts, and emails continued to roll in from our veterans who wanted to help the victims of the bombing. America has supported the Semper Fi Fund for 10 years now with over $74M in support to our service members; now our nation's heroes want to support our friends in Boston on the road to recovery that they themselves have traveled.

The Semper Fi Fund has set up the Boston Marathon Relief Fund through our America's Fund program and will be raising funds that will directly assist victims of the Boston bombings.

Please help us wrap our Semper Fi Fund arms around our friends in Boston!
