4th Annual Wounded Warrior Car Show to benefit Semper Fi Fund

August 12th, 2011

Long Beach, CA On Sunday August 14, Semper Fi Fund supporter Mike Green is hosting one of Long Beach's favorite car events, the 4th Annual Wounded Warrior Car Show. This annual car show benefits the Semper Fi Fund.

Car clubs from around the state will motor to the Wyotech Campus in Long Beach to show off their Pre-1974 American cars and trucks as well as their tremendous support for our wounded. Clubs include The Bay City Rodders, Cruzin 50's South Bay, Early Birds and the Sultans.

The highlight of this year's show will be a presentation of a newly adapted Chevrolet Camaro to Marine Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Guillermo Tejada. SSgt Tejada lost both of his legs above the knee when his patrol encountered an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan in November of 2010. The Semper Fi Fund has provided $20,000 towards the vehicle to make SSgt Tejada's dream of driving a Camaro come true.

In addition, WyoTech, the venue host and trade school, had four of their students, all veteran service members, worked on special upgrades on the car for SSgt Tejada.
