Rob Jones completed his journey on Saturday, and there's one thing for sure, he's a man on a mission to raise $1 million for three different charities that are dedicated to helping wounded vets like himself. Lance Corporal Robert “Drew” Mendez, USMC

The first time Drew saw an example of the brotherhood of the Marine Corps, he was about 8 or 9 years old in his home town of Kingsville, Texas, just south of Corpus Christi.

“I was raised by my grandparents,” Drew recalls, “and they owned a bar. I used to go over there a lot in the summers, count the quarters from the pool table, help clean up, that sort of thing. Dresden, OH – The Harper Classic is an annual event honoring the life and sacrifice of Marine Sgt. Brad Harper who gave his life August 5, 2005, while serving his country in Iraq. This event consists of a Memorial Run with two distances, a 5 Miler or a 5K Run/Walk, and a Car Show. But the most important thing on display will be the Lima Company Eyes of Freedom Murals which is a Memorial that honors Brad and all of Ohio based Lima Company 3/25 that lost their lives while serving. Kayaking the Mississippi River: Source to Sea
