Jeffery Knopping will be participating in the Mighty Man Montauk Half Ironman on Sunday, September 30th. Please support Jeffery's efforts by donating to his campaign page!
Every year I train my heart out to prepare for an endurance event and reach out to many of you requesting, and receiving, your help raising money for a charity that supports many of us. This year is different. On September 30th, I am running in the Mighty Man Montauk Half Ironman to raise money for a group of men and women who support ALL of us.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance to injured and critically ill members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. Semper Fi Fund directs urgently needed resources to post-9/11 Marines and sailors as well as Army, Navy and Coast Guard Service members serving alongside Marines.
The goal of Semper Fi Fund is simple: these heroes who have put their lives on the line for all of us every day deserve our support in their time of need. I couldn't agree more. I am so appreciative of and humbled by the sacrifices these men and women and their families make for us every day. Please help me support our wounded warriors who protect and preserve our freedom. – Jeffery Knopping
About the Mighty Man Montauk Half Ironman:
Montauk is one of the birthplaces of triathlons. The sport is growing and athletes want to challenge themselves with longer events. There are few metro area triathlons of this distance. In addition to providing a venue for the athletes this event will showcase Montauk at a time when the weather is still nice but the summer crowds are not as heavy.
