New Orleans RockNRoll Marathon, New Orleans, LA – Throughout previous years, MGySgt White has been a massive supporter of the Semper Fi Fund and been a great representative. He has fundraised along with spread the mission of our need to support our injured service members. He is taking on the New Orleans RockNRoll Marathon in February and could use your help to continue his mission to fundraise for the fund.
Race on the Base, Los Alamitos Base, CA – Mac Alaniz is running in honor of those who serve and have served, like his brother and our other brothers…Mac is running for you! During the previous months he has raised funds during his "Running for a Cause" campaign in which he will continue as he participates in the Race on the Base in February and the Toco Loco Challenge in April. He plans to run with a mask and run to raise awareness. This is Mac's way to "Support through Sport" our injured and critically ill service members and their families.
When asked why he chooses to run for the Fund, he said, "I do this for the heroic men and valiant woman of our Armed Services...The burden of the weight and struggle of breathing motivates me and reminds me of the struggles of the road to healing that these warriors will endure and the burden of what these warriors endure as they stand fast on the front line."
Join his efforts by donating to his fudnraising website!

After receiving the medal, Morris said, "I just want to say one thing if I could: If I had hands, I'd take this off and pin it on Danielle, because she's helped me through everything, and it's been so hard. She's been there the whole time." Read the rest of this entry »
Ongoing Giving Opportunities: Book: A Quiet Reality – A Chaplain’s Journey into Babylon, Iraq with the I Marine Expeditionary ForceFebruary 14, 2013
A Quiet Reality is a heartwarming and hopeful story that invites you to join Chaplain Marrero in this exciting journey through Iraq as he ministered to U.S. Marines. Join him through an exhilarating tactical convoy during his first night in Iraq, through the painful ministry to the wounded and dead. Reflect with him as he ponders on this quest as a man in uniform and a pastor. Walk with him through the ancient ruins of Nebuchadnezzar's Palace in Babil and join him on an exciting quest to open biblical history to his Marines while he seeks to care for the Iraqis around him. A Quiet Reality is a hopeful commentary on a selfless quest to be true to ones faith and one's calling in the most trying of times.
