On a high, grassy hill in Lockwood that boasts a panoramic view of five mountain ranges, Bo Reichenbach will soon rebuild another part of his life.
Reichenbach, a U.S. Navy SEAL who lost his legs to a makeshift bomb in Afghanistan in 2012, joined a crowd of people Saturday afternoon on the hill to celebrate the groundbreaking for his future home. Read the rest of this entry »

Dixon, IL – The Inaugural Wounded Warrior/Semper Fi Fund Golf Outing will be hosted at Timber Creek Golf Club on June 26th at 12:30pm. This event is being organized by Timber Creek Golf Club and Kim Devine in honor of the service of her son, Corporal Adam Devine. The outing will include a 50/50 drawing, live and silent auctions, a cookout and entertainment.

When 58-year-old ‘Hammerin Hank’ sets his mind to do something, the retired Marine Corps veteran gets it accomplished. Colonel Hank Donigan, a Fallbrook resident since 2003, plans to run a total of 25 marathons this year to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund.
His goal is to raise a total of $25,077 by the end of those races. Donigan breaks it down to $1,000 per race with an extra $77 to signify the year (1977) he graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. Read the rest of this entry »

Castle Rock, CO – Caspar Placke’s Eagle Scout Project is a detailed plan to raise funds for the Semper Fi Fund with a goal of $12,500, which is the cost of an Action Track Chair. Also, part of his project is to share the Semper Fi Fund mission and to remind everyone of the continuing needs of our wounded, injured, and ill Service Members. He has coordinated his efforts with the Castle Rock Economic Development Council, the Castle Rock Town Council, and the race organizers for the Castle Rock Half Marathon. As part of being a charity partner, the Padres have set up a ticket link where Semper Fi Fund supporters can go to purchase tickets to all Padres home games between 6/2 and 7/6 (*excluding 6/21) to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund.
