Washington, DC – In the wake of Monday’s tragedy in Boston, the nation mourns the lives we lost, and grieves for the injured and their families. These are the first days in what may be a long road to recovery; and America’s Fund will be there to help. The charity program, administered by the veteran non-profit Semper Fi Fund, will be sending staff, volunteers, and amputees wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan to Boston to provide encouragement, guidance, and immediate financial support to victims and their families. Scott Wylie discovered Pilates after repeated lower back spasms. So started doing lots of the basic mat classes and now after maybe 200 mat classes since last July, his back feels much better. Scott now leads Men's Pilates classes at local clubs and YMCAs in the Connecticut area. Please visit his website for more information and to see a schedule of classes. In 2010 a small group of cyclists decided to cycle 236 miles around the island of Okinawa to honor the 236th birthday of the Marine Corps. They soon decided that there was no better way to honor the Corps than to support a great organization like the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund. ST. Albans, MO – The Missouri Friends of Injured Marines will host their 9th annual charity golf tournament with proceeds to benefit the Semper Fi Fund. The tournament will be held at The Country Club of St. Albans in St. Albans, Missouri, on August 26, 2013.
Special guest of honor for the tournament will be Gen. James T. Conway, the 34th Commandant of the Marine Corps.
