Benefit Event Guidelines


  • Any individual, business or organization that proposes to raise funds for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF) must first complete the Benefit Proposal Form and Guideline Form (please contact us for these forms) for review by the IMSFF Event Committee. These Forms should be submitted 4 weeks or more prior to an event. Annual events require registration each year.

  • Once the Benefit Proposal Form and Guideline Form have been approved, you will be notified by an IMSFF Event Manager. The Event Manager will work with the event organizers as a liaison. Event organizers may then begin soliciting sponsors and participants for the event.

  • IMSFF is the beneficiary, not the sponsor, of all benefit events. Promotional materials that use the IMSFF name or logo should use the phrase "to benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund."

  • All event materials – including but not limited to advertising, press releases, flyers, posters, promotional items and public service announcements – that include the IMSFF name or logo must be approved in advance by the IMSFF Event Manager assigned to monitor the event.

  • Please note that the IMSFF is not sponsored or funded by the United States Marine Corps and can not be promoted as such.

  • As a beneficiary of the event, IMSFF does not accept or assume any responsibility or liability for any circumstance arising from the event.

  • The sponsor retains full responsibility for the design and implementation of the event, including safety precautions. It is recommended that the sponsor obtain appropriate insurance coverage for accidents or other unexpected negative circumstances. Please check with local and state authorities to determine any unique requirements for each type of event before submitting your Event Proposal.

  • The IMSFF does not advance monies nor does it solicit revenues for events conducted by third parties.

  • All bills and other costs are the responsibility of the individual, business or organization sponsoring the event and must be paid before submitting proceeds to IMSFF.

  • Please ensure checks are addressed to Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund or IMSFF. The event name should be noted in the memo portion of the check. For on-line donations at www.semperfifund.org, the donor should indicate the event name in the "In Support of" portion of the donation form.

  • IMSFF and injured service member representation may be available for the event; however, the request must be made in advance. Representation or support for the event will be determined by availability of volunteers.
