The president of Semper Fi Fund, a charity that provides immediate and continuing support to critically wounded, ill and injured service members and their families, has been awarded the joint-service civilian humanitarian award.

Dale City, VA November 16, 2014 – For the sixth consecutive year, the Semper Fi Fund will deliver holiday cheer to post-9/11 injured Marines who received the Purple Heart. This past weekend, a team of incredible volunteers packed up 9000 holiday ornaments at their annual Purple Heart Ornament Packing Party at the VFW Post 1503 in Dale City, VA, and prepared them for shipment to wounded Marines across the country.
