CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – The Land of the Free Foundation will once again host their annual Veterans Day Golf Classic on Friday, Nov. 11 at Industry Hills Golf Club at the Pacific Palms Hotel and Conference Center. The goal of this year’s golf classic is to raise more than $1 million for those who serve our country. The Semper Fi Fund is honored to be one of several veteran charities supported by this patriotic event.

3rd Annual Col Ripley Race benefits charity for injured service members

Annapolis, MD - This Sunday, November 6 more than 1,000 runners will be on hand for the 3rd Annual Ripley Race. Thomasville, NC – On Saturday October 29, Army Sergeant Joseph Smith, a former Marine will be presented with the keys to his new specially adapted home, made possible by Homes for Our Troops, Inc. and local volunteers and donors from the community. Ride for Semper Fi riders cycle 430 miles for injured service members!

San Diego, CA - After three and a half days and 430 miles across hot deserts and intense hills, 65 riders from the Ride for Semper Fi will arrive from Scottsdale, Arizona to San Diego, Califonria on Saturday, October 15. The riders are taking on the long and strenuous journey to raise awareness and support for injured Marines and Sailors. Runners hit the pavement for injured service members at the Long Beach Marathon

Marines Hike for One Mission

North Carolina – A group of U.S. Marines are going above and beyond in what they are calling “the journey for injured Marines.”

Fortunate Sons, a group of 18 active-duty Marines, are planning to collectively hike the entire 1,000-mile North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail” (MST) in the name of both charity and awareness. The 42-day journey begins October 2nd at Clingman’s Dome in the Great Smokey Mountains and ends at Jockey’s Ridge on the Outer Banks on Veterans Day weekend, November 13. More than 30 injured service members from Team Semper Fi take part in Tunnel to Towers Run

Brooklyn, NY – The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) will be sending 36 team members from Team Semper Fi, to take part in the “Tunnel to Towers” race in Brooklyn. This is the third year the team has participated in the race.

The Tunnel to Towers Run is organized by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The run memorializes all who perished on September 11, 2001 and follows the heroic footsteps of Firefighter Stephen Siller, who raced on foot from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Towers and laid down his for others. More than 30 injured service members will attend special screening of “Dolphin Tale” in New York City to benefit the Semper Fi Fund!

New York, NY – In conjunction with the upcoming release of Alcon Entertainment’s “Dolphin Tale,” the makers of the film are hosting a special screening for the Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the AMC Loews Theatres,19th Street East 6, New York City, NY.

Approximately 200 supporters of the Semper Fi fund will be in attendance, to include more than 30 injured service members from the Semper Fi Fund's "Team Semper Fi" who will be in town for this weekend's “Tunnel to Towers” race in Brooklyn.
